Talking and listening is a major part of the English curriculum and all students at Padstow North Public School are encouraged to take part in Public Speaking activities, whether they take place within the classroom, or are part of a wider experience, such as interschool debating.
K-6 students contribute to the Public Speaking Competition held in Term 3 each year. Two students are then selected from each grade and represent the school at district level.
Each year a group of approximately 6 senior students are also selected to be members of a Debating Team. The students have the opportunity to debate other schools within the East Hills/Bankstown District.
